Council staff and councillors in Dudley will be hoping to bowl over two charities at a special cricket match.
Dudley Council staff and councillors will be going head to head at Stourbridge Cricket Club on August 2.
The teams will be hoping to stump up cash for the Mayor of Dudley’s charities which are Macmillan Cancer Support and The Wildlife Trust.
The teams will play in a 20-overs-a-side match at the Memorial Ground, Amblecote, before a raffle and an auction.
Councillor David Stanley, Mayor of Dudley, said:
The annual cricket match between members and officers is always good fun and raises some much needed funding for charity as well.
Members and officers give up their time to help these good causes, something that will make a difference to both charities. A huge thank you to Stourbridge Cricket Club for hosting us again this year too.”
Members of the public are welcome to attend the match. It starts at 6pm.
